Sometimes You Have To Take Matters Into Your Own Paws

My parents are fairly well trained and take really good care of me for the most part.  There was the whole betrayal of trust at the vet’s office incident, but that’s another story for another day.  For the most part, I’m pretty happy with how they take care of me.

My biggest complaint is that they don’t always do things in a timely manner.  Like, NOW!  Dad just moves slower by nature.  He likes sloths, if that tells you anything.  Mom tends to move a little faster, but she spends entirely too much time taking pictures.  It’s like the woman thinks she’s paparazzi or something.

Mom’s picture taking habit is especially annoying when a Chewy box comes.  There’s always really good stuff in the boxes, and rather than opening and unpacking them in a hurry - there are treats and toys to be handed out after all - she likes to take pictures of all of us checking out the Chewy boxes.

It’s like she doesn’t understand that we’re all there to tell her to hurry up and hand out the treats and toys.

Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own paws and start unpacking the box yourself.  Mom doesn’t like how I unpack the box, so once I get started she puts the camera down and gets moving.

  2. You have it down pat now. Just do it yourself if you want it done. A lesson even our parents have had to learn along the way. I admire your work ethic!

  3. You can teach your people a lot Caroline.
Looks like you are right about taking things into your own paws.
Humans can be slow, but with our help they can learn how we like things to be done ;)

  4. Cats and boxes are a match made in heaven aren't they? And youtube has some brilliant photos of 'big cats' and boxes.
Thank you for your visit to my blog.
As we swelter though summer I hope winter is treating you gently.

  5. What a cutie. As my daughter used to tell me, cats have staff. You are the staff and will be in training until you get it right. It can be a long process if you don't pay attention to her needs in a timely matter. So good luck with that! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a wonderful evening.
